Who’s That Lady?

A single beam of light can find and pierce the smallest crack in a wall. I am passionate about illuminating paths forward for individuals and organizations needing to accelerate or to simply get “unstuck”. For that cause, I have spent over 15 years advising business leaders, teams and entrepreneurs across multiple industries and companies.  Since 2002, I’ve been actively serving on the boards of not-for-profit organizations; and I currently sit on the boards of several for-profit startup companies.  My career progression and my investments in startups and entrepreneurs, have been highlighted in publications by multiple organizations, including Black Enterprise, Entrepreneur Magazine, Women 2.0, National Association of Black Accountants Spectrum Magazine and Pipeline Angels.

As the Founder and CEO of Chisara Ventures, Inc, an international business consulting firm, I enjoy working with entrepreneurs and business leaders at every stage – from idea conception and early stage exploration, to deal closing and business expansion. My academic foundation includes a BS in Accounting and Information Systems from Bentley University, MBA from Babson College and executive business certifications from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, Babson College Executive Education and Bentley University Center for Women and Business.  Additionally, my professional certifications include: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Internal Organizational (CIO) coach and Registered Franchise Consultant.

My love for the arts parallels my passion in business. I enjoy acting, singing and dancing as channels for enlightening the perspectives of others. My acting experience includes professional theater and television; and I sing in ministry and on the theater stage.  As a licensed International Dance Minister, I serve and minister in dance in the US and abroad. I have taught worship through movement and flags during foreign missions to Guyana, South America and Belize, Central America.   I also love traveling the world for leisure and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I believe success is a journey (not a destination). Our priorities determine the roads we decide to take and the challenges we’ll face as we travel them.

…Have you examined your priorities lately?
